Contractors to MBT Neumünster

At MBT Neumünster municipal solid waste, bulky waste and commercial waste is treated - 200,000 tonnes per year from about 800,000 inhabitants of the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. The contractors to MBT Neumünster are:

  • the city of Neumünster
  • the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde
  • the district of Plön  
  • the district of Nordfriesland
  • the city of Flensburg.

An additional amount of 60,000 tonnes of pre-treated bulky and commercial waste, as well as the high calorific fraction from other MBTs (such as Lüneburg and Lübeck) are delivered to the fuel refinement section.

The overall output is an amount of 150,000 tonnes of RDF per year.
